BREAKFAST ON BROADWAY - HASH
I love breakfast.  Not only is it my favorite meal of the day, but I could eat breakfast-style foods all day long.  I usually don’t go for corned beef hash, but I was in the mood for something sloppy that I could eat like a savage.  Plus, it came with a short stack of pancakes.
The hash itself had chunks of lean corned beef, scallions, and some other green item which may have been mild jalapenos.  It was cooked to a nice crisp, and the eggs (over-medium) were placed on top.  Cutting into the eggs, the yolk coated the hash and made it all a bit more moist.  All it needed was some salt and Cholula hot sauce and it was perfect.
The pancakes were really fluffy and light.  They also brought out some hot syrup, which you don’t get a lot in New Jersey.  Speaking of home, this restaurant had Taylor Ham!  This made me believe that the owner had to be from New Jersey, and maybe that made me like this place a little more.
Garrett was with me and he ordered The Broadway Breakfast, which is their signature meal.  His food looked great as well, and it came with Taylor Ham which he said was just as good as at home.  The Broadway Breakfast also boasts potato pancakes which were made with herbs, mainly rosemary.  If I had to revise my order, I would have added those to my meal for sure.  They were great.
The sweet pancakes and the savory hash and eggs made this a complete meal.  That is my idea of a balanced breakfast.
