MARCH 14, 2009 Grand Rapids, MI THE TOUR BUS - RIDER SPECIAL This day had nothing to offer me foodwise.  We were parked outside of a mall that had a shitty food court with an ice cream shack, a weird crepe stand, and a Thai booth that looked sketchy.  Actually, that all sounds kind of cool, but it really wasn’t anything I was looking for at the time. One positive was that we got our entire rider today so we had a fridge full of cold cuts.  I was ravenous after the show, so I decided to make myself a little sandwich.  Turkey, cheddar, mustard and potato chips on white bread.  Sounds kind of gross, but I really enjoy the extra crunch and flavor that the chips provide. Sometimes on tour you find yourself in a situation where you either have to eat garbage, or you don’t get to eat.  In those situations I usually just throw everything I can find together between some bread and give’er.  I’ve found some good combinations in the past, but since I didn’t have to be such a savage tonight I went for a simple sandwich with chips on top that I knew would hit the spot.
